  1. a cat that age can end up pining for you,and they stop eating and drinking,my partner left me after 16 years, and 1 of our cats who is 15 now slept with him every night when he came in from work and went to bed with him..when he left  us she was 12yr old and refused to eat and drink,it took me 3 mths to get her well..and back from the brink of death..any way the ex came back for 8mths but the cat had nothing more to do with him,she wouldnt even sit on his lap or go to him when he called her,he went again dec,and the cat hasnt missed him since or again...

  2. he will miss you a hole lot,but he will get adjusted to he's family as long as they keep him in the house for a couple of days.that way he dont run away.

  3. well der he is gonna miss oyu. Why give him away???

  4. I'm sorry you have to give your little furrball away.

When you give away an adult cat, yes he will miss you. But only for a bit. I just recently bought a new persian cat. He is 8 years old and adjusted in several hours. If your cat is timid and shy it may take longer. But if he's playful then it will be quicker. Lovable cats adjust quickly.
