  1. has he lost some teeth? With your cat being so old he should see a vet regularly..my 17 year old kitty made frequent trips to the vet just to make sure her health was good and that her quality of life was still great and everything. It's worth the cost..if you are worried I would def. see a vet.

  2. I have had a cat with a rotten tooth but he didnt do that, I do have two cats however that do that whenever they are hot, they are very fluffy and sometimes they do that when they are in the sun.  Its quite cute actually since they look like lions haha.  but they are going into the sunlight so I guess they like it?

I would give your local vet a call and see what he thinks and if he thinks you should bring your kitty in.

  3. NO U DONT HES PROBABLY JUST HOT OR EXAUGHSTED HOPEFULLY THIS IS RIGHT

  4. My old and sweet Maine Coon did this in his old age.  It's not uncommon.

Most vets start doing feline geriatric exams at age 10. These exams can help older cats live longer and happier lives.  Ask your vet, if your cat could benefit from this exam.

    Good luck!

  5. most likely he has a rotten tooth. I would take him to the vet for a dental checkup. That old of a cat will have several dental issues. Dont wait long. Elderly cats dont do well when they are sick and a rotten tooth get get septic quickly.

  6. I agree with having to do with rotten teeth, sore gums, or ulcers in his mouth. Having his tongue in his mouth probably hurts if it touches whatever hurts.
