My cat is acting lethargic, is hiding, acting scared and is l*****g her lips and l*****g her stomach and bum a lot. I'm worried about her but she isn't puking, avoiding eating, but her ears are a bit warm. What's wrong with her and should I take her to the vet? She has been acting this way only for a couple of days.

  1. Try giving her a wormer, her she maybe be itching from worms for the l*****g of her bum, the stomach maybe she is feeling them from the inside too. That is if she hasn't been wormed lately. If it is worms then she is hiding because cats are social people and she could be experiencing embarrassmentnt and the not eating could be that when she eats the worms ar more active eating and moving around alot more because they are eating too.

  2. I had the same problem with my cat. It sounds like a urinary tract condition. It probably has a lower urinary tract infection, and may have possible produced crystals, which resulted in cystitis hardening of the bladder.  Take her to the vet for a urinalysis. Sounds like she has a fever from the infection.  When my cat had this problem and i took him to the vet they said he would have died from the fever. The l*****g of the stomach and genitals is a very good indicator of urinary infection also.  make sure to provide her with fresh water. Take her off of dry food and put her on canned wellness grain free cat food. Dry food causes obesity diabetes and urinary problems, it is the root of all evil in cats, even if your vet reccomends a dry prescribed urinary diet, that is bs they get paid to recommend that c**p. canned food is the answer to prevent it from having these problems in the future.

  3. That doesn't sound unusual to me. Especially if she isn't puking and she is still eating, but if this does continue and you are worried about her I would take her to the vet. You would rather hear that she is okay rather than it being too late if something were to be wrong!!
