My cat is acting very strangley! plz help!?

Question

My 11yr old cat Mysti, has this little toy tiger and one day i got home and found her on the rug with him in her mouth meowing in a very strange way what is wrong with her?

maybe she was practicing killing something or maybe she was making a mating noise. who knows?

I wonder if she was doing that strange teeth chattering chirruping that cats do when they have managed to kill something?  I would imagine that she has been 'stalking' her toy and was celebrating catching it!

It is possible that the tiger toy contains catnip, which may be the case if you bought it from a petshop. Catnip makes cats behave oddly. Though its nothing to worry about.

mite just be bored, or yano shes getting old, so could be a natural thing, or she could even be yano, "aroused" lol yer dont kno too much bout cats sorry =]

hiya =)       i think your cat thinks the tiger is her child. this same thing has happened to me when i got my kitty a soft toy. if your lil Mysti is l*****g the tiger and carrying it around in her mouth, I'm shour that she thinks it's her child. And you said that she hissed at Harriet for kicking tiger? well that just proves that she likes the tiger allot, and it very protective of it.   so i don't think that your kitty is strange, i think she is very sweet! and it is nothing to worry about.   =)

sometimes cats meow in different ways to their normal noise, this could be due to distress, anxiety or just unhappy they are in the rain!! if your cat hasnt done anything since i imagine it will be ok, if not you may want to consider taking it to the vet just to be on the safe side

maybe she thinks its another cat or something

and my cat does that sometimes with this teddy thing.

its weird but it turned out that all my cat wanted was for me to throw it

lol...kinda like a dog playing fetch.

and when she  hissed at Harriet

it was probably just a coensadence

or maybe  Harriet was just around another cat

and Mysti smelled the other cat off her and got angery

or something...

does the Toy have Cat Nip in it ? (good chance it might!)  .. Mine go nuts an do odd things with a little Nip in them !
