Question:

My cat is being a wierdo...he is lickikng the floor and then rubbing himself on it...whats up with that?

I am not sure what he is so interested in. He also did this with one of my flip flops. It doesn't happen all the time. Just today. I did mop the floors with Mr Clean...Maybe that has something to do with it

  1. our cats do that too.  it's really funny.  someone probly walked through something outside and then walked on the floor and he can smell it. its cat normal.  LOL


  2. My cat sometimes does that.

    I think its a way to clean his/herself, if you notice cats l**k their paws and then rub behind their ears to clean there. If your cat can't reach somewhere to l**k then he/she mights l**k the floor, then wipe his/her body against the floor.

  3. Cats have a very good sense of smell so there might be something on the floor that he seems to think smells very good.  My cat tends to do this when I put on foot lotion and then walk through the house.  Most foot lotion has a minty smell and cats like mint.  Catnip is in the mint family so it may smell the same to them.
