She won't hardly do anything.

I felt her chest and her heart seems to be really fast.

What could this be and what can I do for her.

  1. ours did the same thing but was vomiting also. he lasted 3 days never did know what happened to him.

  2. Oh...kitten....well according to scientific details....kittens breathe hard and have fast heart rates because they were just born andd are not used to their environment. If u are more concerned and need extra help....message me on myspace.com my email is radioanime96@yahoo.com....and also give the kitten atleast 2 more weeks so it can get ised to it's home...

  3. a cats heartrate is normally fast anyway (160-200) and kitten even faster, so it may seem fast but could actually be normal, but hard breathing noticed by the untrained eye could be something serious you should have her checked out

  4. It could be that she needs a vet.

She could have eaten something toxic, she could be in shock, she could have a cardiac ailment.  You need to address this right away.

  5. has she just had her shots by any chance? if so, she could be having a normal reaction to that. otherwise...

a fast heart rate is normal for a kitten but the heavy breathing and laying around are very worrying. as the other poster said, it could be she has eaten something toxic and could be in shock. i would call the vet, even though its sunday most vet offices have an out of hours service. it is more expensive but usually you call and speak to a vet first who can tell you wether or not its an emergency situation. call the vet. and good luck.

  6. If it is acting differently then it was for no obvious reason (playing hard) take it to a vet.
