She would vomit a hairball now and then, but nothing like now.

Her vomit is always accompanied with a large ball.

Cant really afford expensive tests unless it is a last resort, so I am just looking for some possible causes that I can fix at home.

Any ideas?

  1. cat puberity god just take her to a vet thats just gross

  2. I'm having the same problem with one of my long haired cats. Every day for a week he was vomiting, then it stopped for a couple of days, and now he's back at it again. I mix their regular food with hairball control food, it seems to help some. Also, try Petromalt you can purchase it at pet stores.

  3. you need to go the vet - expensive tests arent needed. but my friend cat was doing that and almost died.

  4. Everything sounds fine. I have 10 inside cats of my own (yes all spayed and neutered). They were mostly strays. There can b a few causes to the vomiting. We have had to go through several different brands of cat food before we found one that all 10 cats could handle. Something in the dye of the cat food can affect a cat. Also, it's proven that short haired cats shed worse then long haired cats. I know this sounds strange but we are living proof with long and short haired cats. Is your cat an indoor cat, outdoor cat or both? With all of our cats being indoor then they lose their winter coat later in the year, which means more l*****g and grooming. If your cat is an indoor cat this could be the cause of all the fur balls, it could just be that she is losing her winter fur late. Now here is a trick we use to treat our cats fur balls. We don't use the over the counter medicines nor medicines from the vet. A vet actually gave us this advice. We take a small dab of vasoline and either let the cat eat it (some of our cats like it) or we smear it on their front paw. This way they have to l**k it off. This helps get the fur down the tracks and come out the other end. With 10 cats we hardly have any fur balls around. Only unless we forget their monthly dose of vaseline. Use a little bit smaller than a dime size amount. Best of luck to you and kitty and plz email me if you have any more questions. I have been a cat owner all my life and have Volunteered at Humane Society for years.

  5. treat her for them. you can buy a flavored hairball treatment paste (at wal*mart or wherever) that you just wipe on her front paws and she will l**k it off. you only have to do it once a week. it works wonders.

  6. its normal. cats l**k their fur to clean it so they swallow alot of fur. i think when their belly feels yucky they cough it up.
