  1. There is not much information to go on.  Such as age, medication, indoor/outdoor, flea/tick stuff put on, etc...   I would take all of that into consideration as well as if she could have something like string around her tongue.  Also did she eat a certain plant or ????   This bothers me, I would call a vet.

EDIT:  Just thought - were you just rubbing and exciting her?  she could be just loving on you...  They can also become over stimulated and drool.

  2. I had this problem once with one of my cats and took him to the vet. The vet said this is normally caused either by something stuck in the cat's mouth or throat, or by something scratching. If it's not the first time I would be inclined to take her to the vet and get her teeth checked over. In the case of my cat of course, he stopped as soon as we got to the vet's and has never drooled since.

  3. Drooling can occur for a number of reasons in cats. Probably the most commonly identified reasons are gum or teeth disorders. Oral ulcers can sometimes cause excessive salivation. Problems that lead to nausea, such as renal failure or gastrointestinal disease also cause excessive salivation. Some cats salivate excessively when they are nervous or stressed. This is a common reaction to oral medications and application of flea control products, too. Your vet can help sort through these possibilities and hopefully find a treatable cause.

  4. If the cat has been on/around or playing with CatNip,,,it causes the cat to drool..

  5. sounds like she might have a problem with her tooth or something to do with her  mouth.  does she have really bad breath? that is a sure sign that there is a dental problem. call your vet and get some advice.  they always have your pets best interest at heart. hope she gets better.

  6. did you recntly use some beauty or anti-flea medication on her? my cat has an alergic reaction to some stuff it tried to use once, it was a foam applacation flea product. . . if it continues see a vet

i had a friend whos cat drooled when she was happy....
