Yesterday my indoor cat ran outside and started chewing plants outside. They had been sprayed with weed stuff like 2 weeks ago, and it has been raining A LOT. She came back inside and was foaming out of her mouth. Then she stopped and was fine, but during the day started chewing on nothing and started foaming again. But then later in the night seemed fine. But then tonight she did the same thing for not even a minute and now is fine. Since she came in yesterday morning she's been drinking water and eating fine. What could it be?/should I do?

Some cats are seen to salivate alot, the main reason is that they are scared. Other cats salivate, for they actually suffer from motion sickness (hence the drool-soaked cat carrier). While some cats drool and have foam when the feel nauseated, or are about to vomit a hairball. On the other hand, cats normally drool with pleasure while being petted. These were some simple signs of drooling in cats, but if your cat is drooling or foaming at the mouth for no obvious reason, if drooling continues for more than a half hour, or if the reason is something else then you should call the vet. There are two major reasons for abnormal drooling in cats, first is related to the problems occurring inside the mouth, and those occurring elsewhere in the body. Pain or nausea ignites drooling. Oral problems or neurologic conditions can interfere with swallowing, causing saliva to overflow
