My cat is having SERIOUS illness problems!?

Ok my cat has been having problems in the past 2 days. Her eyes are looking weird. Like lop sided. And she's acting really funny. Like she moves her tongue around in a lizard/snake like way. Like she moves her tongue everywhere. There are flies bussing around her constently as if she's dead. Of course she's not or she wouldn't be moving. Were afraid to touch her just in case she attacks us or bites us. She's never acted like this before. We've had her for 3 years. Does anyone know what wrong with her? my mom doesn't want to waist any money on her because she doesn't like cats. What should I do?

take her to the vet. isnt that kind of the obvious thing to do? and even if your mom doesnt want to pay for it, i would think you would be willing to spend some of your own money if it seriously concerns your cats health.

If you can't be bothered with taking your cat to the vet, then surrender her to the shelter.  At least they'll have the compassion to humanely euthanize her, rather than letting her suffer and slowly die.  Tell your mom that what goes around, comes around.  This is disgusting.

From the symptoms, your cat is very ill and needs to see a vet immediately. Having a pet and not giving it adequate medical care is cruel. I hope that I never run into your mom in a dark alley. She sounds very evil and heartless, sorry to say.

she needs to get to a vet asap!! call the local animal control or shelter for help, you may have to give her up but they will treat her and let her be adopted out to a family that will deal with any medical issues she will have, you have to do something, she is suffering!

It would not be a waste of money to take your cat to the vet.  Is she up to date on vaccinations?  If not, and depending on your area and whether or not she is indoor/outdoor she could have contracted a disease such as distemper and, worst case scenario, rabies.  Rabies can change behavior, you may see staggering, neurologic symptoms such as her eyes moving weird, attacking people randomly etc.  Again, that is worst case scenario, as always nothing can be diagnosed over the internet.  Cats can also l**k constantly when their stomach is very upset, cats also have a third eyelid that will come up near the corner of their eye closest to the nose, if a kitty has the third eye lid up for a long period of time it can be a sign of serious illness.  For your health and the kitty's health please have your mom take her to the vet!!!

Your mom should be tortured to see how she likes it. This is the most disgusting and frustrating thing I've heard in a long time. Smack some sense into your ignorant mother and teach her a thing or two about pet ownership. Your poor cat is suffering!! Good for you for looking for answers, but you need to do something drastic, like calling a local animal shelter or SPCA, because you and the cat clearly can't rely on your mother. Please do something for your poor girl!!

If your mom isn't willing to help this cat then call someone who will. Either call an animal rescue or SPCA. Your cat is seriously ill and needs help NOW, if you wait any longer she will probably die. It sounds like she has an infection and that is why the flies are buzzing around her.

Tell your mom that you wouldnt take her to the doctor if she needed it. Your mom is a scumbag. Your cat needs medical attention. PERIOD. Why do people keep asking stupid questions on here??? Your pet is injured or acting sick you take it to the vet. That is the responsibility you accept by taking an animal under your care. Some people shouldnt have pets, let alone children.

my opinion is your mom shouldn't have allowed you to get the cat if she wasn't going to back you all the way. All the way means going to the vet NOW - not tomorrow -now!!! Your cat is not well at all.
