My cat has attaked guests to our home and even us for no apparent reason except when we p**s her off. She does not want to be pet and she has always tried to escape from our house. Since she is more independent and wild than the regular cat how can my family teach her to respect us as her masters.

  1. she is having a behavioral problem so you need to instill a fear so great that she will have to respect you... and if that does not fix her than i dont know what will.

  2. I had a tomcat who was wild when I rescued him,he is now almost 10 years old and he is cuddly and loving. You should let her be,don`t pet her when she doesn`t want to and maybe get some interactive toy to play with her but don`t touch her with your hands. Feliway can help,it reduces stress in cats, and some catnip, too. If this doesn`t work, consult your vet.

    Good luck!

  3. I suggest using "Rescue Remedy" or "Feliway" both are very powerful and natural ways of taming your wild kitty! You can find Rescue Remedy at most health food departments and Feliway can be purchased at most pet departments. Both are vet recommended. As for the litter box problem. When you notice her going any where other than her kitty box, then I suggest sitting her in the box or confinement in a small room or bathroom and placing her litter box in there with her. There are also other methods of calming your kitty such as some anti depressants. Contact your local vet for a list of these medications

  4. Did you annoy anyone who's passed away in recent years? If so i think they have returned as your cat to take their revenge! Oh dear! There is nothing you can do.We have a cat that hates other cats with a vengence and goes for strangers, but only coz they put their hands over her head and most cats don't like that, they feel threatened.Talk to your cat in a really high praising voice and say nice things see if this works.Cat's don't learn like dogs. Then again if you are annoying your cat then you deserve everything you get.

  5. Ha Ha.  Sounds like you have a rebel cat.

  6. You have to love her.

I have 5 cats and had many more before.  They are indipendent little creatures.  Very often happens that if the little cat was  loved to much, ie picked up, when it was verry little it just hate to be loved when it groves up. My 4 year old girl tweenkee is exacly the same. I have got her from one of my friends who not longer wanted her, and he got her from pet store.  I can only imagine how many people where messing with her when she was little. My lovely naighbours hate her, she can tourn in to horible tiger sometime and atttaaaccckkkk.  Love her so much though.  She also pee in shower trays and baths, took her to the vet many times but the answer is stress nothing else.  2 years ago I put her out of our bedroom becouse she was no longer the baby of the family.  It was then she started her moods sweengs.  Can you think of any changes in you home what are making her stressed?  Anything eg: even change of the cat litter.

  7. how old is the cat? it sounds like it wants to mate. is he fixed? i have 3 boy cats that were stray and not fixed. they would bite, scratch and pee on the furnuiture. took to vet and he said when toms (boy cats) want to mate they get very aggressive. once you get a cat fixed they do a complete 360.

ths same goes for female cats
