My cat is mad at my other cat

Question

Ok my cats jasper and kato have gotton along for as long as i can remember, then about a week ago, my cat jasper was attacked by a pitbull (hes ok, it wasnt to bad) but he was at the vet hospital back and forth for about a week. but for some reason kato hisses and growls at jasper everytime he sees him or walks past him, does anyone know why hes doing this?? is it because hes jealous that jasper has gotton a lot of attention, or is it because he smells different then he remembers? or what?? any help you can give me would be great!!

its probably that he seems different or smells different.lol thats happend before.my cat got fixed at the vet and for some reason my other cat attacked her :O it was weird lol :D

he smells funny. bathe jasper then  brush the cat(kato)that is pissed off then dont clean brush and brush the other cat(jasper) helping mix their scents. maybe it will  work.

Probably because he smells different.  As he begins to smell more normal Kato should calm down.  I'd just let the situation work itself out.  Jasper has been through enough stress and Kato is just confused but they should be fine.  

I'm glad the fight with the dog wasn't too bad.  

After my girl got spayed the two boys who don't like her actually licked her for awhile.  Now that she smells like herself again they mostly stay away.  It really does seem to mess them up when one of their kitty roommates starts smelling strange.

Maybe he's saying, "Hey Jasper, just want to let you know I'm still here for you, like what you've done with the place, did you do something new with your fur it looks good."

does he have any bandages on him that make him look different if he does then that might be why

otherwise yes he probably smells different and it could even be a little jealously also, i would give it a little while longer i am sure they will be fine together since they were ok before, cats are funny .I am sure they will be fine just maybe give kato a little attention while he knows jasper is watching..

I don't know how they do it, but cats can always smell "the vet" on another cat and it freaks them out. Plus, Jasper probably looks and acts different right now, which also unnerves Kato. Cool cat names, by the way.

It's Jealousy because jasper is getting so much attention and kato feels abandoned.
