My cat is missing - possibly taken by a bobcat. ?

Our side door was not closed properly night before last and our cat (who never goes outside) escaped. We have contacted local shelters, put signs up around our neighborhood and walk and driven around to look for her many, many times. Neighbors are on the watch. One neighbor spotted a bobcat last week about 2 blocks from our home on a golf course. We live in SW Florida and bobcats are a part of our many wildlife animals here. We saw no signs of a fight, but I did notice a "wild animal smell" near the door where she would have gotten out. Does anyone know of other attacks by bobcats?

Hi there - sorry I'm from the UK and we don't get bobcats round here, but I just wanted to say I sympathise with you because our persian cat has been missing for a week but tonight (after also posting leaflets around our estate) we had a call to say she was in someones garden but she is so terrified she won't come to us!!! Very frustrating!!! Hope you find yours soon and it she hasn't been taken by a bobcat. Good luck x x
