my cat is missing shes an outdoor cat in my backyard but she lives in the garge with all the food/water/kitty litter and bed. This morning around 12:00am there was a small earthqauke and in the morning she usually goes outside in the front yard to play with some strays but she comes back in the garge to sleep but she never came back!!! i don't think anything happened to her cuz the earthquake was small but it shook the whole house but dont animals have like an instict to when natural disasters are supposed to happen? and they go off somewhere safe. she is fixed so i dont have to worry about her being pregnant when she comes back home i just don't know what to do cuz my other cats are still here i don't want to lose her cuz i lost her brother last week he still hasn't come home D:

  1. Personally, I cant stand cats.  If I was you I would just forget about her and hope she doesnt come back.  You'll save money and a lot of worry. Take the money you save from not buying cad food, kitty litter, vet stuff, etc.. and buy somthing for yourself that you kinda want. Enjoy it. And just think, maybe some cute little girl found it and her parents let her keep it, and now shes really really happy.

If you like the cat that much, just put up signs on like telephone polls and that.  And if you want put an add in the paper.  I probably wouldnt, because when someone sees it its not like they are going to be like oh i passed that cat on my bike ride this morning.  And they'll just skip over it in the paper.  So all that is just kinda pointless.  But its worth a shot.  Some people may care just as much as you and they'll help you out.

Since shes an outdoor cat, she will probably  just come back somtime if she isnt dead.  My moms cat was missing for like a whole week and a half, and i was hoping it was ran over and it showed up eventually. Darn it.  But yeah, good luck to ya.

  2. Post pictures of her (and the brother) all over your street and go to local pet shelters asking if they have seen them.

I would also post pictures on animal adoption websites (I was looking for a poodle and found a website that said : Is your pet lost? click here to report it!!)

  3. ask Schrödinger

  4. You lost her brother last week and yet you still allowed this cat to be outdoors?  That doesn't make any sense.  Why do you have a cat if you won't allow it to live indoors where PETS belong?  Odds are she isn't coming back.  Maybe you'll think next time about leaving your pets outdoors.

  5. She'll come back!!!!  It's where she eats and lives :)

She might just be shoken up right now and will come home soon.

  6. Cats, especially outdoor cats, will sometimes venture off.  I would not worry unless she doesn't come back in 5, or so, days.

    Was she wearing a collar?

If not, it's possible that someone else has taken her in.  They could have assumed she was a stray and she may be indoors.

  7. I hope your cat comes back soon, good luck :)
