Question:

My cat is pregnant and seems to be having signs of labor such as nesting and restlessness

she is only 56 days gone so im a bit worried as i have read that kittens wont survive under 58 days gestation....anybody know if this is true or not or any advice???

  1. Apparently they can show that sort of behaviour for the last 2 weeks so i wouldnt be too worried yet. Her milk will start to come through just before she gives birth (12-48 hours before) so that would be the sign id look out for. My cat is pregant too and due next week, shes restless, very affectionate, l*****g a lot and been looking for a quiet place to hide in, so im just waiting for any signs of milk from her nipples before i start to panic. As for survival under 58 days gestation, im not sure, but hopefully she'l hang on a few more days!

    Just to add, my cat had her kittens 2 days later and it was more like a white waxy substance than milk on her nipples the eve before.
