My cat is sick. help.?

my cat has not been eating for the last 2 days. she has vomited a bit and has been shivering. we took her to the vet and they could not find a physical problem. recently (last 7 hours) lost hair under her neck. can anyone give me advice to whats going on.

Is the cat under stress?  If not, take the cat to another vet.  Cats eat 10 small meals a day, they cannot go without food or water and stay healthy, and vomiting is not normal.  Sounds like a new vet is in order.  You can not get a diagnosis over the internet, there is too many variables - you need to know what the cat's mouth looks like, it's ears, it's eyes, what the blood pressure is, heart rate, respiration....it is impossible to tell you what is wrong, or what to do without knowing all this, and only a licensed vet can.

Take her to another vet or animal hospital! Your vet sounds like an idiot! Did he/she even examine her or take a stool sample? When you find out what's wrong your cat, by all means, take the paperwork back to your usual vet and demand a refund-- they obviously don't care about their jobs!

Maybe she has distemper? I'm not really sure what it is, but if it's a parasite or poisoning or something, your cat could die if she's left untreated. For future reference, make sure she's up to date on all vaccines.

I think you need to take her to another vet. I find it strange that the vet you took it to didn't give you any advice. Any time an animal refuses to eat, its not a good sign. If she's losing her hair she may be having a reaction to something she ate. Is it possible that she got into any toxins? I would definetly take her to a different vet as soon as possible.

stuff like that can be hard to diagnose considering vomiting is a common effect if she is losing hair now you need to call the doctor becuase that might give them a greater hint as to whats going on
