I just got my 2 yr old cat Bella spayed today. She is tiny as it is but when I took her home and got her out of her crate today I noticed that she is abnormally skinny in her abdomen area. It looks like she hasn't eaten in weeks. I'm not sure if this is normal after a cat gets spayed, but I'm worried about her.

I took a picture of her so I can get your guys' opinions.

  1. They don't allow them to eat before or after the surgery of course.   My female was the same way, they lose fluid during the surgery as well.

I would give some high quality canned food to get her eating.  She will be fine :)  It took my female almost a week to start looking like herself again.

  2. she may have been pregnant. some places will just abort the babies. I'd ask.

  3. the pic did not load for me. If the cat is eating and drinking normally I would not be too concerned.
