I have 2 indoor cats that are always clever enough to escape!!! The youngest one of them who is around 1 now jumped out of the upstairs bathroom window (2nd floor) there was nothing for him to jump onto in between it would have been window to floor. By the time i had got up to feed them and noticed he was missing he was gone :( Do you think he will have been ok with such a big jump?? No doubt he will be back later for food but ive had to go work and leave him out and im just worried he may have hurt himself.

  1. My cat did the same thing. Walked away with a tiny cut on his lip but he acted as if nothing happened. Cats are well-balanced and smart, so don't worry too much. when he gets back just keep an eye on him.

  2. he should be ok, never heard the syaing cats always land on their feet? he should be fine, if he doesnt turn up tonight, phone the vets and just let them know he is missing so that f anyone comes in with him, they will phone you to come and collect him

  3. I would look in bushes and under cars, etc.  If he was hurt, he will try to hide or run because he's afraid.

It's a myth that cats always land on their feet to a certain extent.  From a short fall, yes, they will usually land on their feet.  However wind, distance etc. all effect if he will be ok.

Good luck, and thanks for being a responsible cat owner and keeping them inside.

  4. Go look and see. Cats have an amazing ability to bounce.

  5. he'll be fine, cats can survive some amazeing hights.

i heard of a cat falling from the 3rd story of a block of flats and was fine.

  6. Im sure he will be fine. Besides cats have nine lives!!

  7. HAVE Y00H L00KED 0UTSIDE ALL OVER Y00HR HOUSEE??

IM SRRY I HOPE YOOH FIND HIM!

  8. Hi,

One of my cats does this and she's been okay so far just a little shaky on her feet.

If i were you I would look for him just to be on the safe side as I have heard of cats breaking their legs like this.

I'm not trying to worry you but better safe than sorry.

  9. I once lived in a flat above a shop. It had huge victorian windows, really high.  I had to keep my cat in for a week with a bandaged foot.  I went out and left a small window, right at the top, open for air.

The cat got out, with a bandaged foot and somehow made it to the ground.  He came back a few hours later, and seemed very pleased with himself, not a scratch on him.

I think your cats are trying to tell you something, the want to go outside! it may be safer to let them be outdoor cats than have them jumping out of windows all the time.  They only have 9 lives.

If you have to go out, leave a small bowl of food and water outside your door, if you can.

  10. i hope he will be ok. when my cat went missing we put posters every where. on lodes of lamp posts and through letters boxes. one day someone came to our door and said they had found her. we where so lucky but molly knew the area well as she was always outside. try the posters and there's nothing more to say but wait.

    hope you find her

  11. if he wasnt in a pile underneath the window, he is fine.

i doubt he jumped that far. either climbed down the side of the house, and jumped into a tree or something.

or, he is hiding in the house.
