My cat's tail got caught in the door when it blew shut. I'm pretty sure it's broken now. It's sunday so I can't get a vet.. will it heal by itself or should I bring her tomorrow or should I try to get an emergency vet today? Thank you!

  1. I'd try to find an emergency vet if your cat seems to be in an obvious state of anxiety and pain. Cat's tails can usually repair themselves very quickly. If you cat is still doing the things she would do normally, even if she is being careful with her tail. If she's eating and doing everything else, wait a day or so. If it's still the same way, seek help from a vet

  2. Take him/her to a vet. My cat got her tail run over by a car, and it had to be bandaged, or in a cast, i can't remember. The cat will have to wear a neck cone to stop it biting at the bandage, they hate it, but they have to. Sadly when this happened to my cat another cat kept attacking the bandaged tail, and the tail had to be amputated.

It might not be broken.  If he/she seems in pain when you touch it, you should take it to an emergency vet. If it doesn't seem that phased, you can wait til tomorrow.
