My cat just had kittens how long does it take for her 2 get pregnant again?

i don't want her to get pregent again i want to get her fixed as soon as i can

My question would be why would you want to?  Did you know that you increase the chances of your female cat dying when they have another litter too soon after their last one?  There are so many unwanted animals in shelters, that it is cruel to allow her to continue to become pregnant.  There are many no-cost or low-cost spay.neutering facilities available, and I encourage you to check into them now, before she mates again.  Spayed/Neutered cats live longer, healthier lives.  Be a responsible owner, and alter your female.

Not very long... why are you breeding your cat? Do you have any idea how many cats and kittens are euthanized in shelters everyday? Are you happy that you contribute to their deaths?.. just think, for every kitten that your cat just had, thats another DEAD cat/kitten in the shelter thanks to you being irresponsible, and pretty much a moron. People who actually CARE about animals, would never breed!

she'll go into heat again 6wks or less i believe.

she'll be in great pain, just call a vet and tell em how long ago she had the kittens and set up an appointment.

She can get pregnant again almost immediately.  Be sensible - do the feline world a favour and get your cat spayed straight away.  There are far too many cats being put to sleep every day because of indiscriminate breeding.

ok others first of all for all you know this person lives on a farm and needs all the cats they can get so don't judge please it's not fair I'm not saying that i don't agree with some of you but come on now. a cat can get pregnet again as soon as they get rid of there litter. there next heat

I hope you are asking this because you don't want her becoming pregnant again !

Keep her indoors until she has finished feeding her kittens and then get her fixed/spayed BEFORE allowing her out doors

BEFORE weaning the kittens.

Take her in RIGHT AWAY and get her spayed.

Or MAKE SURE you keep her inside until she is spayed.

If she get pregnant then you can take her in anyway and they will abort them.

Be a responsible owner, and have your cat SPAYED. Don't try and ignore the huge problem, or pretend it does not affect you - it does, and the SPCA's and shelters have3 to resort to other methods of "euthanising" animals thanks to people who just breed.

Be part of the SOLUTION not the PROBLEM.

Your cat can die as young as !! years from mammary cancers if you do not have her fixed - so show her you care enough to have her fixed

Cats can get pregnant quickly- around 2 weeks after but it will vary from cat to cat- like humans really.

I assume you are asking because you want to have her spayed before she gets pregnant again? Unfortunatly you cannot spay her until she has done with nursing, so the best thing to do is keep her inside until they are weaned and in their new homes. If she did fall pregnant before this (cats do like to escape if they are used to their freedom) a vet would still spay her if she wasn't too far along, which might be the kindest thing to do in that situation as i dont think she would be physically able to cope well with another pregnany so soon.

Ignore the mean peoples replies. They have no idea how you came about your pregnant cat in the first place and jump in there judging you and assuming you dont care about them and will put them all in shelters! It's d**n insulting. I got my pregnant cats FROM a shelter and the kittens certainly will not end up in one!

She can get pregnant as soon as she gives birth to her litter. Trust me on this. I didn't think it would happen so soon but my cat was pretty much pregnant before we gave all the 1st kittens away.
