  1. Keep your kitty away from other cats..

And be prepared. I had a kitten with this and he didn't live too long. It took over him so quickly that he didn't have a chance. It was the saddest day of my life. (Not trying to upset or sadden you).

Just know that with this comes a ton of resulting medical problems.

Just love your kitty as much as you can and spoil him/her.

  2. if your kitty is an only cat you should be ok, just make sure that kitty is an indoor cat now, so that others won't catch the virus.you don't have to put the cat down if it is a single cat home. so please don't just because of the disease.  only if kitties health diminishes! some cats don't show symptoms for a long time. at the cat shelter we adopted a FeIV cat to a nice family that wanted a special needs cat. Good Luck!

  3. make sure its away from other cats.

"An IFA positive cat can be shedding virus and infect other cats and kittens."

    i'm sorry :(

  4. Hi,

Sadly there is no cure for FeLV.

How old is your cat and it is having any health problems ?
