I have been living in the same house for over a year with no problems but there is now a cat constantly harassing my cat and fighting with him. he came in this morning with ripped ears and a bleeding mouth. I locked him in the house all day but he is going crazy trying to get out. is there anything I can do or will this settle down? I don't want to keep him locked in forever as he hates being shut in and I think cats should be free to go out, but it's really upsetting seeing him get bullied as he's a very gentle cat

  1. Ok, well you need to first do whats best for your cat. You're going to need to bring your cat into the vet and make sure he hasn't gotten any diseases from this other rogue cat. Is your cat neutered? If not, get him neutered also. Is your cat declawed? If so, you shouldn't be letting him outside without supervision, or you can get him trained on a harness and leash with patience. Some cats are more willing than others. Do you know who owns the bully cat or is it a stray? If you can manage it safely, try to humanely catch the cat and bring him to the shelter, or call animal control. But as much as your cat wants to go out, don't do it unless it's safe.

  2. follow him one day, then you can find out which cat is being violent towards yours. then follow that cat and find the owner, talk to the owner about maybe keeping his/her cat in their garden, or talking to a vet about ways to calm his/her cat down

  3. If the bulling cat belongs to a neighbor, then you need to confront the neighbor and tell him to do something about the cat. If the cat is wild or feral, call the animal shelter. If the cat is not wild but is a stray take it to the SPCA, if you can catch it. Take your cat to the vet to make sure he is ok. Good luck

  4. Get a dog to keep him company. Hey there's nothing like a big mate to scare away the bullies lol.

  5. If possible ,Squirt the intruder with water the minuet it gets near your door,

Is the visitor a full tom .Is your lad done?

If they are both full toms, then they will fight, If your lads done and the visitors not, then he will get beaten up by the full tom, Can I suggest you try and find the visitors owner, then explain your dilemma,or better still .get the visitor to the vets and get it done, then bring it home and let it go.its evident if it has got owners, then its only going to be going home between every 6/7 days to eat/sleep.then its missing again,so they wont even know its been done, until   it starts staying home a bit more, and then it wont be wandering through your property looking for the Lady's

  6. aww thats so sad!

find out who's cat it is

i dont really know what else to do :[

    but good luck.

  7. Build his a mini set of brass knuckle and a suit of armor

  8. Has the other cat got an owner? Is it neutered? You could ask the owner to have it done it it's not neutered. Keep a close eye on your own cat, I nearly lost one of mine under similar circumstances a few years ago because he developed an abscess under one eye after a beating and we didn't spot it.

  9. cats choose to fight itsd in their nature and if they really think theyre getting beaten they'll just leg it.  mines the same just keeps fighting but cats are tough and u just gotta accept that its their nature to scrap and they can take care of themselves

  10. Tempt the bully moggy around you house and give him a good kicking.

    No body likes a bully!
