My cat keeps playing with the tap water

Question

My cat won't stop playing with the water from the tap, he jumps up onto the bench and sits there waiting for someone to turn on the tap, and when we do turn on the tap he either drinks from the tap, sticks his head under it, or plays with the water with his paw.

Is this behavour something to worry about?

And if so how do i stop him, because i really don't like wasting the water.

some cats like doing that. its normal. make sure he gets plenty of water to drink and limit the rest of the running water

lol my cat does it too. i leave the tap water running for him because he only drinks from there. its normal
