My cat keeps tipping over her food and water bowl. I don't know how to make her stop.

Your cat may be trying to bury her dishes to hide them from other animals. It's kind of an instinct to protect their food. Try some dishes that have a very wide bottom that will make it harder for her to tip over.

We got our cats the self-feeding, self-watering containers they sell at Walmart.  They seem to have cut down on the mess the cats make when they eat and drink.  Cats get funny habits sometimes.  You just have to be patient with them, and sometimes you have to outsmart them.

i don't know, but i will have to buy some heavy bowls too, i always clean out my cats 3 bowls, his water, meat and biscuit bowls. then i fill them up when he'd finished there's meat all over the floor, he scoops the biscuits out and they end up all over and in his water and when he's emptied them he tips them and pushes them around the room !!!!

my cat dose that to so i went to target and they have food and water bowls with sticky things on the bottom so they stay in one place

If your cats head is facing the bowl she is just being...idk.

if your cats not facing the bowl its burying it...its a natural instinct dont worry. if its the first problem buy one of those bowls where you put the bowl in a stand thing it might help!!! Good Luck!!!

Some cats are simply nuisances. =) On a more serious note, they make bowls that have arched lips that meet the ground so that the bowls cannot be tipped- they are inexpensive and prevent future spills.

Here is a link to the bowls I mentioned at Petsmart to give you an idea. They are not only heavier, but again, cannot tip. (The two bowls on the lower section of the picture)
