  1. Sure.....Sure.........keep going........we need less cats!

  2. As long as you are not giving it to her as a  staple in her diet on ly as a treat she should be fine.

Actually yogurt is good for cats....cherrios...not so much

  3. Eating plant based foods such as cheerios isn't really BAD for her health, it's eating too much of them (so she doesn't eat meat) that is. Cats need something called taurine to be healthy. Taurine is only found in very small amounts in plants, but is found in large amounts in meat. If she eats too many things without taurine in then she can get ill; cats suffer kidney damage and can go blind without it.

Cats will sometimes eat small amounts of plants to aid their digestion (mostly grass, but they'll sometimes eat house plants too). You can buy vegan cat food which is specially formulated to give them all they need without actually having meat in it. But essentially cats should eat cat food, fish and meat (although apparently the occasional egg is ok for them) and not human food.

  4. if she throws up her cat food, try another formula.  the cereal and yogurt are OK but not as her sole diet.  there are important nutrients in cat food that she needs to be healthy.

  5. I'm sure the cheerios are fine but I don't know about the yogurt..if the cat starts showing signs of being sick I'd tell your sister to stop.

  6. MY CAT IS A LUCKY ONE SHE LOVES MILK AND IT DOESNT BOTHER HER, YOU MIGHT WANT TO TRY PURINA ONE WITH YOGURT IN IT, I BELIEVE ITS FOR SENSITIVE SYSTEMS, IT MIGHT HELP, OF PUT HER ON BABY FOOD FOR A FEW DAYS AND OFF CAT FOOD ALL TOGETHER BEFORE YOU TRY A NEW BRAND(GERBER STAGE 2 LAMB, TURKEY & BEEF)

  7. my kitty likes vanilla yogurt and cheerios his entire 11 years.  As a little treat now and again is okay, just my personal belief.  NO CHOCOLATE.

  8. Yogurt is just fine.  I had a 23 year old cat that ate it every day of her life.  Cheerios won't hurt her/him either.  Most dry cat food is mostly cereal anyway.  Listening to some of these posts, you'd think cat food was made in a sterile lab environment.  It isn't.  Left on their own, cats will eat insects and raw mouse and bird guts and live a long healthy life.

  9. a small portion of yogurt is ok but not too much and the cheerios is fine but feed her other food like fid#sh and you know...proper meals, cheerios are like snacks so you can give her some after a meal or at sopecial times or something

  10. I think the cheerios are fine, but I'd watch out for the yogurt. Yogurt's dairy and cats are extremely lactose intolerant.thats probably why hes throwing up a lot

  11. lol... I wonder if your sister is such a dum dum that she trades with your cat.. her cheerios for the cats cat food. Haha. oK, That was mean, anyway.. I don't think cat's and dogs are supposed to be eating a lot of white and bleached grains and I believe that the multi grain still has some of that. I don't think it will kill the cat or make it morbidly obese but I don't think it will prolong her life or do anything good for her. Cats have really sensitive digestive tracts... if the food is to acidic or harsh for the stomach the cat can get ulsers or the food may not even digest for a lot time. The yogurt has a little milk in it (I guess milk is bad for cats but my boy cat, titty ((yes that is his real name and whooho double parenthasis!)) anyway titty has been drinking a full bowl of milk A DAY for almost 12 years and he still kills all the bunnies, birds, and other small animals in site)

To put it simply, you are the smarter sibling, the food won't kill your cat but it's not great, and my boy cat that is 12 years old is named titty.

  12. You might want to phone up your cat's vet and ask.  To me, it doesn't seem like it would be a problem, but only a vet would know for sure.  Mostly cats are excellent about eating whats good for them and avoiding whats not good for them.  Multigrain and yogurt are definitely healthy choices for a human, maybe for a cat, too!

  13. I can only relate our experience, don't know if this applies to your cat. For years we fed our cats a commonly available off of the shelf dry cat food.  One of our male Tabbies became diabetic.  The little guy took two needles a day for two years before we lost him.  A couple of years later our other male Tabby also developed diabetes.  We weren't able to face going through the insulin shot routine again, so we seriously researched what was in their food.  Most cat food contains carbohydrates that cats don't need, and can lead to diabetes.  We found a low carb brand of cat food we ordered through a local vet.  In two years he was diabetes free.

Dogs and cats are primarily carnivores, that is, meat eaters.  We avoid giving our pets table food, especially anything high in carbs; as well as carefully reading the labels on the pet food we buy for them.

I can identify with your problem.  An elderly member of our family suffers from dementia.  She doesn't know she's doing wrong; but feeds her cats Little Debbie cakes.

  14. I think it's perfectly fine unless the cat is getting sick. My cat likes to eat ice cream (we only give him a little at a time thought) Smoothies, fruit juice, dog food, etc.. Anything is fine  as long as he isn't getting sick.

  15. I think the cheerios are fine, but I'd watch out for the yogurt. Yogurt's dairy and cats are extremely lactose intolerant.

  16. no, please don't feed your cat yogurt, cats should not have bovine lactose (cows milk) its highly volatile to them, and the sugar in cheerios will be nothing but harmful.

  17. it won't hurt her, I use to have a cat that l**k frosting off a cake and eat corn on the cob and potato chips when you left the room she jump on the table and eat, she lived to be 22 yrs.

  18. cat food from pet smart

  19. Cheerios are alright to feed her.

  20. well, the mutli-grain cheerios are

and she she likes the yoghurt because it has milk in

  21. actually sweetie your sister is extremely bright!!!!!, those are some of the best treats you could give your kitty, yogurt is so so so good for them and the cheerios wont hurt her at all, they are very low in sugar and are full of vitamins, small amounts of cheese is good as well and cottage cheese is good too,  you may want to think about switching her regular food it sounds like it is upsetting her tummy, this happened with my cats, i switched to wellness core, which has the best ingredients and no preservatives or additives,

I give my cats yogurt daily, only plain or vanilla though,

  22. I noticed you put in that your cat is throwing up cat food, you need to contact a vet and find out why this is happening..very important

  23. vet now go du........or give it dry wet dry wet dry wet and a big splash of  BARF IF U WANT~~~~~~~
