My cat loves to eat meat!

Question

my cat loves to eat meat alot especial if im cooking pork chops! lol...i dont know why its like she'll be sleeping and she smells the food and starts to cry to eat some! so i give her a plate of food she also loves Chinese food lol...my other cat eats chips and drinks apples juice lol!

is it okay for them to eat these kind of foods??? i need to know i dont want them to get sick!

No, it's not okay for them to eat excessive amounts of food that isn't specifically made for pets.  A lot of times if you're eating chicken or something, a cat will just want to feel included, so it's okay to give them a small piece of something to make them feel part of the family.

If they're still crying, direct them to their own bowl of food.

as a very rare treat, remember that onions, garlic, and MSG can be fatal in even small amounts so avoid feeding them to Kitty

cats are natural carnivores but pork isn't the greatest meat choice

my last cat enjoyed a cap full of whiskey with nacho cheese doritos, the cat I have now will fight you for your mac&cheese

A little something here and there won't be harmful, but cannot be a 'regular' occurrence.  You really need to be aware of any weight gain due to their eating.  Also, of course they love meat, they are carnivores:-)  Lean meat (plain, not seasoned) isn't bad for them at all.. like pork and chicken.  Just make sure they don't get into the bones as they may splinter when chewed and choke them:-(

Its ok for them to eat meat, cats are carnivores. But the chips and chinese and apple juice could upset their stomachs

my cat loved all kinds of food from twinkies to cheese and crackers. they say not to give your pet table scraps. well i think that's so you don't stop buying pet food. as far as it being unhealthy for them. cant prove it by my cat. he was 21 lbs, not all fat he was a very big cat, and he lived to be 21 years old, would have lived longer if the vet didnt puncture a small lump on his side.

It sounds cute but giving your cats this kind of junk food will get them sick.

Just in case if you didn't know, cats can also develop Diabetes and Heart problems and can die from those conditions.

You should consult a Vet to chalk out a proper meal plan for your cats if you want them to live healthy lives.

As a rare treat these things are fine.  But if you want your cats to stay healthy feed them a well balanced cat food and don't treat them so much they refuse to eat their regular food.

Yeah its alright to feed it those things, the only sid effects that may happen is it being overweight or obese!

Kitties are carnivores, so it is good to feed them meat.

If you are feeding food as you have cooked for yourself and your family, just be cautious not to give kitties anything containing onions, garlic, mushrooms, pepper, excess salt, etc.  I have attached a link below for foods toxic to kitties.

As for the chips, apple juice and Chinese, I would avoid or greatly limit them.  As for the chips, because of the high fat and salt content.  The apple juice because of the high amount of sugar.  And the Chinese, again for the high amount of sodium (MSG).
