My cat meows A LOT...?

It's like everytime someone pets her... REEEOOOWWW! She jumps up on my lap, looks up at me, same thing. She's very vocal. Why...?

is she fixed if not she could be in heat that means she wants to mate if you don't want to get her fixed its alright just dont let her near male cat unless you want her to get pregnant

mine does this for no reason - all 3 of them do it actually.. and when you stroke her she does it more. idk why she does it but its very annoying lol

Assuming she has been fixed, she might just be vocal. I have four cats, two of which talk all the time, 2 never make a peep. My vet said cats are like people in that respect, some are quiet, some talk too much.

So does one of mine.  She talks ALL THE TIME.  The other cat hardly talks at all.

She's just like that.

It sounds like your cat has some siamese in her. My mother's cat is siamese and never shuts up except when he's sleeping! His name should be, "shut up, dammit!" because that's all my mom ever says to him. Some cats are just more vocal than others. It's how she communicates with you. There's not much you can do about it.

Yes usually this means one of two things:

(1) She's in heat.  If you haven't had her fixed this will happen until you do get her fixed.

(2) Urinary tract infection.  sometimes when cats are in discomfort they will "whale" to get your attention.  

You should take her to the vet to make sure she's not sick.
