He does this all night every night and I have lost quite a bit of sleep. I thinking about getting rid of him. I go through my entire day ticked off at him because it is his fault I get no sleep. I am really starting to dislike him. How can I get him to stop before he ends up homeless?

  1. Keep a spray bottle with water next to the bed. Every time he does it spray him till he leaves. Eventually, he should give up.

Don't blame him though. He probably likes to play at night and just wants your company. How old is he and how long has he been doing it? If he is young, he may grow out of it.

  2. HAHAHAHHA punch him in the face.... LOL

No don't do that. Cats are adorable.

Just don't let him in the room at night.

Lock him in another room or keep him in a big open area but away from you.

  3. keep ure cat downstairs  put a block over the stairs  something a cot wouldnt get over  which would b difficult cos cats are awesome at jumping over things or jst shut ure door

  4. Amy, There is nothing worse than loosing sleep. If one of my cats were to meow at night I would resent that too.

Try putting the cat in the furthest room away from you and your childrens bedrooms as you can....with food, water and a clean litter box and shut the door. If you do not have a room far enough away, and the noise may wake the children in their rooms, maybe a garage or a shed may be the answer at night.

I think it is making this noise as an attention thing. Ask yourself, Is the cat well?  Has it always behaved in this manner?

Do you and your children normally love this animal? If your answer is Yes, we love this cat...Go see a Vet. Get some professional advice.

    Good luck

  5. If he has been doing this for a long time it might not be possible to "cure" him.  Get a large carrier...like one intended for a large dog

that will take a water bowl food bowl and a small litter box.  Put it in a remote area.  If you have a small apartment this may not be practical

You might take him to a vet to see if anything is hurting him.  Maybe you can rehome him to someone who can make a place for him in the garage at night or a cage outdoors. good luck.

  6. Punch him in the face.

Hehe kidding dont believe in harming animals... though they are brats!

get a kennel or something to put him in when he meows. After awhile he should put two and two together.

  7. Don't let him in your room at night - simple as that. Cats will do what they want and they only way you can get him to not wake you up is by keeping him out!

  8. My one cat did the same thing and it took a LONG time to break her of this.  We had to constantly wake her up when she was sleeping and remove her from the bed when she cried.  It's not an easy thing to do, but good luck!

  9. The spray bottle beside the bed is one of two things you can do. You have to spray it immediately though, and right in the face. Spray it with lots of gusto while yelling a word, a sharp word of your choosing, like NO or OUT!

The other thing you can do, and this might be hard if you sleep with someone but it works wonders, is scare the living bejeebus out the cat. When it meows, grab the covers and dump the cat on the floor. Seriously. Send it to the floor. You won't hurt it. do it in a big way. This will break your cat of the habit of meowing in your bed. It might start meowing from a distance but hopefully you won't hear it.

make sure it's nails are trimmed though.

I dunno, if I were you I'd try to find a home for it. There is nothing worse than a pet that annoys constantly. Sometimes it's you or the pet. I'd see if you could find a little old lady who might need a friend!

  10. OMG I have this same problom with the cat on the left in my picture.

He wakes me up in the middle of the night like 5 times an hour each hour.

What I do is put a whole bunch of cat food in his bowl so he wont be meowing about his food.

Then I make sure he has a comfortable place to sleep in so he won't be meowing where to sleep.

and make sure cat's don't be beside you windows so he can't talk to them.

Because the cat's i both have are g*y!

They l**k each other and everything!

  11. Leave the bedroom door open, but add a little gate in the entry way so you can get it, but kitty can't ;)

  12. Don't let him in your room at night. close your doors and keep him and any sort of bed he  has out of your room.

  13. IF YOU CANT CLOSE THE DOOR IN YOUR BEDROOM......YOU MIGHT THINK ABOUT FINDING HIM ANOTHER HOME.........

I CANT THINK OF ANY OTHER ANSWER......

    SORRY

  14. Scold him when he does this, swat his butt, tap his nose, hard, or something of that sort, or get a toddler-gate and stick him in the kitchen or whatever for the night.

  15. Before you go to sleep, close your bedroom door while he is not in your room.  If he starts bumping against the door or scratching the door, put double-sided sticky tape on the door at the bottom.  It will really help you get more sleep.

  16. if you put sellotape sticky side out betwwen the door and the frame it should stop him coming into the room, i had the same problem with my 2, it was effective he first night, you have to put t on every night for about 2 weeks then they learn that thier not to come in.
