Question:

My cat might have eaten part of a poptart?

I had been eating an ice cream sundae poptart on my bed and I'm sure that there were a few [big] crums that I didn't see. My 4 year old cat then jumped on my bed. I didn't think anything of it until I saw him l*****g something off my bedspread. I am thinking that it might have been part of the poptart?

Could this potentially be lethal to the cat?

  1. No, cats eat far worse.

  2. your cat will be just fine .my cat ate worse things than a little poptart.:)

  3. loool no. just the other day my kitten was eating a stolen piece of poptart. nothing has happened to her, shes just fine. dont worry about it. lol.

  4. Don't worry. He'll be fine. It's like eating bread....And a small amount at that!

  5. No.

  6. No, he's probably fine.  Just watch him for the next few hours.  If he starts acting funny or his bowel movements are odd, take him to the vet.

  7. Your cat should be fine.  If you sense something is not right within the next couple of hours or tomorrow, just give a call to your vet to reassure nothing is possibly wrong.

  8. My cat had lasagna for dinner just like Garfield does!   Not his normal food,  but like you,  he jumped up on the table after I was done and licked the plate.   If cats eat something that doesn't agree with them,  don't worry, they'll barf it up in no time flat (and usually on your bed).   I'd keep him/her away from Hot Pockets though.  Those aren't safe for humans.
