Question:

My cat peed on my carpet!?

I've tried everything to get rid of it, bleach and water, natures miracle, rubbing alcohol, vinegar, odo ban, i mean everything! is there anything else? my basement smells awful! i don't know what to do! HELP!!!!!

  1. My grandmother told me this trick: Mix 1 part vinegar, 1 part Ivory Dishwashing Liquid & 2 parts ammonia. Scrub with a bristle brush. It works, but only in that combination & it MUST be Ivory Dishwashing Liquid. I don't know why, but it does! You will have to shop vac or steam clean to remove the soapy residue from the "home brew" though. Good luck, b/c cat pee is the worst!


  2. First try and make sure she is not still peeing there. Those products should have taken care of the problem if it was a one time accident.  Also try putting some baking soda down, leave it there overnight, it will absorb odor and any remaining moisture in the carpet.

  3. ehh i have a cat but she never pees on the carpet (she knows wat happens to kittys that pee on carpets XD) u can try going to petsmart or something and get that pee stain removal stuff and spray, hmm but wash it before..... just read the directions that should tell u everything, and punish her if she does it again
