  1. It's called a hairball. She probably had a hairball and had to cough it up shortly after eating.  Brush her more often and switch to a hairball control type of food.

  2. It's called a furr ball. No prob

  3. If you just changed her food it could be that, or what I think it is your cat needs food for a sensitive stomach. Good luck to you and =^,,^=

  4. Yep, hairball. You could try some hairball remedy treats to keep this from happening often. And brush the kitty too. A tiny bit of milk once in a while keeps stuff moving out the back end.

  5. You've gotten the answers already but I could NOT pass up the opportunity to say that "your cat has 'balled you!"

Sorry, got it out of my system, I'm ok now.  It's allllll good.

The best prevention for hairballs is frequent grooming.  Daily is great but whatever you can manage.  Use of a brush and comb is a good idea.

There are hairball remedies you can buy and give to your cat now and then.

You can switch to wet food which is helpful.

You can add fish oil to your cat's diet.

All of these will help, but grooming is key.

  6. So I'm guessing your cat is a black/brown tabby?  Fairly dark hair?

It's summer time, and cats swallow a whole lot of hair when they groom themselves and it's gotta go somewhere.  Healthy cats throw up fur balls before they get to be a problem, so don't worry.  I always praise my cats when they throw up fur (especially if it's on the kitchen floor where it's easy to clean up!), because I know they've had a stomach ache and they feel better now.

So don't worry about it, and watch Shrek 2 again.  You'll really enjoy Puss N Boots' hair ball.

  7. That is a hair ball.  Try and see if you can get her on some type of hair ball remedy or even food for hairballs.  But unfortunately, that's some of the fun of having a cat own you!

  8. *** do I regret looking at that! I'ts no big deal...why did I have to look at it !?

  9. It looks like it is a hairball mixed with food. Try putting your kitty on hairball diet, and make sure she is brushed.

  10. Ah! That's a hairball. My cat used to have them all the time.

You know how cats l**k themselves clean, right? In a healthy cat, the swallowed hair should be able to pass through your cat's digestive system normally, but if she is taking in too much hair, she'll spit it up.

It could be food. Do you give her wet food? If you don't, there's the possibility your cat's digestive system is too "dry" and the hair is getting stuck. Or, like in my case, wet food upset my cat's stomach and after she vomited normally, she'd throw up a hair ball as well.

Try changing her wet food diet, giving her hairball control treats, and, although people say to brush her, I suggest that you don't. Not matter how sick it makes her, your cat will continue to l**k her hair for the rest of her life. Brushing only loosens MORE hair for your kitty to swallow.

If the problem persists, take her to the vet.

    Hope I helped.

  11. It's probably a hairball but I don't really want to look at the picture. Hairballs don't actually look like a ball at all. They will be long, but if you look closely you'll see the hair. They're also very light for their size. Cat's will normally make an unusual noise when coughing them up.

  12. thats gross!

    its a hairball

  13. Hah! I know how you feel, my cat did it on my bed too. At first my first instinct was "OMG ITS p**p!" I freaked out and then I found out it was just a hairball. I was like, "No way! That does not look natural!!" but don't worry, it's totally fine. Cats get hairballs, so just brush them. I brush my cat more often now because I don't want one of those nasty things on my bed ever again!!
