i have had 2 cats (sat-male pepper-female) for about a year now and i recently started watching a young kitten for a friend of mine while she went on vacation for 2 months but bueno (the kitten) attacks the bigger cats and bites chunks of fur out of salt. they are all indoor cats! salt ran away about a week ago and i am really getting worried/scared!

he has done this once before but came back about 3 days later.

what should i do to try and get him to come back, why did he run away?

i take great care of him, play with him don't bug him..

and i'm really sad and i miss him alot!

any advice?

  1. contact your local vets council and animal welfare shelters let them know you could also put signs up around your neighbourhood. place food out side every night and water and call for your cat. this may work or maybe someone has seen or found it. good luck

  2. this link is a great guide on how to find a lost pet.. it will help you lots

  3. If he's the one getting "chunks of fur" bitten out of him, that's probably why he ran away.  At any rate, several years ago, my indoor cat got out and someone gave me a great tip.  Put some of their used cat litter in a box like a shoebox and put it in your backyard somewhere.  The smell carries for a long way and they recognize it instantly.  It won't attract other animals either like a dish of cat food would.  I did this after my cat was missing for over a week and the very next morning, I found him in my backyard!  Good luck!

  4. Well you have to get beuno the lil kitty out of ur house or let some other friend of urs take care of the kitten beuno. and put papers around the block maybe. and write cat missing or what ever you want to write. hmm other thing u can do is this might or might not work but i hope it does. put a thing that salt really likes maybe a toy or something. cat food maybe just put something he likes on ur drive way and if u want stay out side so no body jacks ur cats toy or cat food if u want. but thats what i would do i hope u find salt.

  5. well he might of gone to his fav spot or

under the house where its coolier put ads in the paper

put a pic of him with the ad so if they see it they bring

it back u can affer a award sumtimes they run away

to get out for awhile cause they dont want to be cooped

up all the time just make sure they didnt pick a spot

to die but i dont think it happed give it toys to keep

em entertaint so they dont get bored.

  6. Well maybe your cat salt was upset that the kitten was bitting chunks of fur out of him/her. You could try putting food and water out in a dish on your porch or out side in your yard. You could try calling him/her and seeing what happens. You could put up flyers up around of what your cat looked like and your phone number and maybe someone will find him/her. Hope my advice helps!!

  7. Sometimes a cat will take off for a few days simply due to "the call of the wild." I know because mine did too. Mine was gone for over a week but came back dirty and hungry. I'm sure your cat will too. Say a prayer and sit tight because they do remember where they live.
