My cat randomly does this..why it scares me! ?

Randomly my 2YR Old male cat will loose his marbles, his hair will fluff up he will growl, run really fast out of where ever he just was and then be fine... I go look to see if a bug or a scorpion or something might have stung him or if he knocked something over but there is never anything there and he usually only does it in my bedroom walkin closet, no place for bugs to hide I would see them..? Whats going on with my crazy cat! It scares the crud out of me everytime he does it!

He might be playing around. My cat does that all the time. There also might be something else that is scaring him. People can't really stop bugs but cats see every movment

YUP that is what they do!

Mine does it when I get home and am sitting on the couch!

After all that sleeping they have to do SOMETHING to wake themselves up!

He might be bored, cats play weird games. Try getting him some new toys.

Cats have imaginations just like humans. He is probably playing make believe and chasing his daydream adversaries. My little Boo Kitty does the same thing.

adolescent cats are normally very twitchy- he's just getting used to the environment.

unless there are bugs biting him when he least expects it.

. I think all cats do this at some point. I have a 11 year old cat that gets a wild hair once in a while and runs through the house like a mad woman.  It's normal, they are just playing.

He is probally just playng games mine does that too perfactly normal.

cats sense spirts and do that too but yours is probally just playin!

Some random guesses:

1) He sees his reflection and is startled by the "stranger" in the house.

2) You have ghost(s) and your cat gets freaked out when he sees them.

3) Seizure Suzie does that often...it is one of her seizure behaviors.  Your cat could be having minor seizures.

4) Have you smelled your shoes lately?  

5) Cats are weird, wonderful creatures.
