I have another cat that is two years old and he has never done this before. Litter box was clean. She did pee on bed once when I first got her, but it hasn't happened in months. I am going to Mexico in October for a week and I want to avoid this problem.

  1. Since your cat is young and he/she has connected with you then your cat might might be stressed that your gone

  2. Try keeping her contained to the bathroom for the week you're gone. It's a good way to guard against accidents on stainable surfaces. Don't forget to make her feel like home in the bathroom with kitty bed, food, water, litterbox, toys, etc.

  3. well you can close your bedroom door but make sure you take out anything your cat would want and make sure you close all the bedroom doors or you can ask a close family friend to drop by a couple of times while your gone

  4. I would suggest getting her spayed if she is not first.  Second, before you can rule out a behavioral issue, you need to rule out a medical one.  It could be she was upset but it could also be an infection.  It is typical with an infection they have accidents in obvious locations to say "hey look at me, there is something wrong".  It very well could be behavioral but I suggest having her checked before you try the other great suggestions.  I know I wouldn't want to wait a single day if I had a UTI.

  5. This was your cat's way of showing his disapproval for leaving him.  Yes, they are like spoiled children.  My sister's cat did this when she was packing to go on vactions, even though she was taking him with her.( He did not know that.)

  6. Your cat is not happy. Cats need to be able to have access to outside and they need to have the attention and care they need. Cats need to be happy.

  7. Is your cat desexed...i'm asking because my cat when she was on heat she did the same thing on my bed, the vet explained that her hormones are confusing her and the smell of me gives her comfort...

If she is fixed it could be that she simple missed you, she's still young and needs the affection of her mum (you)..

Also just take note, if you have 2 cats get 2 litter boxes, they prefer to have there own....

  8. You should put her into a boarding cattery while you are away. She was clearly extremely distressed at being left behind.

  9. make sure she cant get on your bed, lock her out of that room or some thing

  10. if ur going to mex for a hoilday u should ask sumone to look after it

for u like family or friend or nextdoor neighbour did u toilet train her

it sounds like u need to iam sure she wont end up doing that when

once shes trained.its quiet normal for a animal to fell down when there

owners gone for a while but when u come back bewarned they well be

very happy and excided that ur back .

  11. this is commonly a stress reaction. close your bedroom door, leave a towel/jumper with your sent on a surface that is easily cleaned. she will look for your scent for comfort while you are away .she'll be stressed that her mummy has left her and she may pee again on your bed. she may suffer from anxiety, talk to your vet they might be able to settle her a bit . good luck
