  1. Go to the vet.

    She may be very sick.

GO GO GO GO GO GO !!!!!!!!!!

  2. By sick, i take it that you mean vomiting?

Are you feeding it dry food?

This is often symptomatic of a cat that eats too quickly, particularly dry food. My cats did this, i took them to the vet and he had me try a technique which reduced  the vomiting dramatically- now its rare and usually contains hairballs or grass strands, which is normal.

Basically, i was piling the dry food up in a bowl- he recommended putting it out on a flat dish in a single layer- makes it harder for the cat to gobble quickly.

Dry food expands in the cats stomach and can cause vomiting if too much eaten in one go.

The lumps on her back i suspect are a seperate issue. you should go to the vet and get those checked out. Cleaning a lot is often symptomatic of stress and the cat may have pulled it's fur out with excessive grooming? It could be a sign of an underlying problem, and when the cat is having difficulty keeping food down, you really shouldnt take any chances.

Cats can hide problems and pain really well, its instinct for them to act like nothings wrong- if you put all these things together, it can mean something is really wrong and manifesting itself in other ways

  3. i would take her to the vet and get her checked out

i wouldn't worry too much, it may just be the food your giving to her she may be allergic to an ingredient or something, try a different make of cat food or even cook her some food, like chicken or fish

    hope shes better soon :)

  4. It time to take her to the vet. It could be a number of things.

  5. When my cat was about a year old, she started vomiting up dry food. On the vet's advice, I changed her diet to wet food only and she was okay on that but lost some interest in her food - started eating lettuce - I think she wanted some crunch. I finally got her back on dry food through experimentation. It is not a cheap diet but she is now on Royal Canin Sensible but she can also stomach Hill's Science Diet for Sensitive Stomachs. Other senstive brands she will upchuck so not sure why she is okay with these. Otherwise she is healthy and happy.

If your cat is longhaired and it is the fur balls which are causing the vomiting, then a weekly brushing would be in order. If the lumps are fur then that would solve that problem. If the lumps are tumors, that would be something else and could be a serious problem, but probably not one that the vet could really do anything about unless you want to subject the cat to surgery. Also, if the cat eats grass, they can sometimes gag or regurgitate that but that is usually seperate from eating food and comes up much thinner.

  6. I have six cats, I never feed them tin food only dried biscuits, cats will leave hair all over the place, hair will drop into there feeding bowls, and they will take in the hair and course a hair ball which will will make them sick. alwaya make shore there is clean water for them to drink.

If your cats go outside they eat grass, this is a medicine for them and sometime this will make them sick.

Or the plain simple fact is they could have eaten to much.

  7. My female cat is 4 years old and she has always been a sickly cat since she was a kitten... It's not always something to worry about unless she is constantly sick then she needs to go to the vet...

My cat sometimes eats fast because of having another cat, i think she does it so she can get to the other food quickly...She's a ganitt at times and i think her tummy can't tolerate how fast she eats that's why she is sick... Stress can be another factor also...

I have to keep my one cat in because she started to eat plants in my garden, not just grass but everything else and i was advised by the vet to keep her in all the time because some plants can be poisenous..

Some cats do clean themselves a lot and can get fur balls in their throat, their boby reacts by vomitting them back up..

I don't think you need to worry about your cat being sick sometimes, just monitor the situation ok...

  8. When a cat eats too quickly vomiting is a common problem, are there any other cats in the house ? as that also tends to make them gulp down their food for fear of not getting their share!

The richness of the cat food can also be a cause of vomiting, my adult cat used to eat the food put out for the young ones and he always vomited it straight back up within a couple of minutes.

If he vomits within a few minutes of eating then it's most likely to be one of the above.

Re the constant washing, if he is a house cat they do tend to groom more frequently.

Re the lumps on his back I would definitely get them checked out by a vet and it wont do an harm to mention the vomiting at the same time.

I hope everything turns out well.
