  1. Cats sleep quite a bit!  If a cat has nothing better to do then he'll sleep.  If you entice kitty with a toy will he wake up and play?  If he does, then he is probably bored and needs some new toys and interaction.  If he doesn't then he is probably sick and needs to go to the vet

  2. yes cats can sleep up to 18 hours a day . . . VERY NORMAL!

  3. cats are pretty nocturnal (really active at night), it is very normal for cats to sleep up to 12 or more hours a day. Trust me, i've had cats my whole life & currently have 5.

  4. very normal, cats are suppose to get like 8 to 10 hours of sleep each day.

  5. theirs nothing wrong with that

i have a 4 year cat and hes the same

    so dont worry.

  6. Yes, this is perfectly normal. Cats regularly sleep for 19 hours a day. Your cat isn't even lazy, he is just a normal cat with normal sleeping hours!

  7. Yep, it is definitely normal. Cats sleep 65% of there lives. Wow, right? And of course he is getting older, that probably means he's getting a lot more tired.

  8. Cats...like all pets, should have regular vet appts to rule out any illnesses.  But cats are known to sleep quite a lot

  9. Mine does the same thing & just got a clean bill of health.  Have her checked to be on the safe side.

  10. No not at all, you should only worry if he is pooping outside of the litter box frequently and he cant help what he's doing. He is just sleepy and tired. Dont worry about him, and if he is BMing out of control, get him checked out. But he should be fine.

    Good Luck

  11. your fine. my grandma's cat does it ALL THE TIME and he's a happy cat ^_^

  12. Your cat is perfectly normal, some cats can sleep up to 20 hours a day!!!!!!!!

ours probably gets about 15 hours sleep.... (i am sure she sleeps all night.. don't hear her up and about..)
