My cat uses a rooftop planter to relieve herself, although the cat pan is near. How do I break down the poo?

Do I add dirt on top? Fertilizer? Earthworms?

Hi Lesa... the best way to break down f***s or urine proteins is to use an enzyme neutralizing cleaner such as Nature's Miracle Just for Cats.  It won't harm the plants to use this solution.  How it works... pour the solution to the affected area(s) and then let it set or air dry.  Repeated applications are necessary for heavily soiled areas.
