My cat has not been declawed nor even seen a vet. I raised it from the time it was about 3 days old (i think the mom left it). It is now about a one and a half year old and it is always mean she will come and attack with no warring signs. You can't pet her she gets mad and then wants to play which I don't mind she just dose'nt know when to stop and how to play nicer she always very rough. She always is crying at the door wanting to go outside but theres too many dogs around for me to let her out so i will hold her and take her out untill i come back in. I don't know what to do with her anymore I would greatly appertiate it if someone told what to do about this cat.

  1. One of my cats attacks me but doesn't hurt me and I think it's because he wants attention and he wants to play.  If you play with your cat for about 10 minutes allowing he or she to run around the house a lot, the cat will get tired and go to sleep.  It sounds like this cat has a lot of energy and wants to play a lot.  From what I've read, it is mandatory to play with cats a lot.  Sometimes I play with them when I'm just sitting around watching television especially when they advertise.  My cats are not declawed either.  Get one of those long sticks with feathers on the end of it or wear gloves when you play with the cat.  The cat can't help it if it has claws.  It needs the claws to climb and play.

  2. If she isn't spayed, get her spayed.  A lot of what you're seeing in her may be related to hormones.  Once you get her spayed, you will see her calm down considerably in a couple of months.  If she isn't spayed, this would also explain her crying to be let out.

  3. you can probably let her out, my cats are better off than my dog. cats hiss and use their claws a lot more. maybe you should go out w/ her for a while to make sure she can handle it. my cat does the same thing, don't worry she'll get better. my cat was way worse @ that age. she's 3 now., will be 4 on friday.

  4. Thats just the way she is. Thats her attitude. Dont worry you arent doing anything wrong

  5. shes probably very frustrated being an indoor cat but i do sympathize , i just got a cat from the cattery and she was lovely there and seems to have turned into a monster , you cant walk past her without her flying at you.

  6. As someone said that is the way she is!!!

    good luck xoxoxoxo

  7. the only thing i have ever done when my cat came and attacked me for no reason was just to tell her no with a stern voice then get up and walk away from her no eye contact she would follow to wonder y i didnt react to her just do this everytime she does it she will soon learn not to do it but it will take a while my cat is now 2 and hasnt done it for over a year and is so loving its unbelievable
