She always has diarrhea. She is about 7 1/2 pounds. She is 5 years old and you can feel every one of her bones. She eats everything!

  1. Sounds like she has an intestinal problem. Take her to the vet.

  2. Bring her to a vet!

  3. feed her cucumbers

  4. she has worms.

you need to take her to the vet.

  5. It could be many things...

    1)  Kitty might be allergic to her food.

    2)  She has Pancreatitis...the vet will have to help you with treatment.

    3)  She has a hyperactive thyroid condition...the vet will have to help you with treatment.

The other questions...is she acting normal or she lying around more than normal?  If she is acting normal, it is either the allergy to food or the thyroid condition.  If she is lying around, then it is probably the Pancreatitis.

My advice is to schedule a checkup with the vet and see what is happening.  It might be nothing important but I would still have her checked.

  6. I agree with Holeemel.   Because of her having diarrhea constantly and isn't gaining weight, there's an underlynig problem somewhere.

  7. She might need worming. Cats carrying a large infestation of worms don't keep weight on as well and can have diarrhoea. So, your vet will need to examine her, weigh her and prescribe the correct dose of wormer for her size, weight and age.

But, she could also have something like IBD (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) which causes severe diarrhoea and/or she could be malabsorbing her food. Both these cause weightloss and diarrhoea.

You need to speak to your vet as a proper diagnosis of her condition has to be made before the correct and much needed treatment can be implemented. If it is malabsorbtion of her food in her intestines, you should speak to your vet about B12 shots as this vitamin helps to stimulate a cat's appetite and help the body absorb nutrients it needs to maintain weight. If it is IBD, your kitty might have to be put on prednisone for a short while and go on a specific diet for her condition, whatever that may be.

I had a kitty who was constantly having diarrhoea and the vet diagnosed IBD/IBS and she had to go on a special diet of Hill's Science I/D for cats who suffer from IBD. Was prescribed Prednisone for 3 weeks and was also prescribed some Lacto B9 which helps to soothe the stomach and intestinal tract by helping to bring back the balance between good gut bacteria and bad gut bacteria. All this helped her greatly and she is a completely different cat now 2 years on. But, I have to watch what she eats.

All the very best and I hope all goes well at the vets for a good diagnosis and proper treatment.

  8. Does she have worms?  Maybe you should take her to the vet, it sounds like she is sick.

  9. It sounds like she has a tape worm. Check her poo to see if there are segments of worms. if so take some in to your vet and they'll give some pills to get rid of them.

  10. you should ask a vet. it could be serious (like worms or stuff like that). if it's not, a vet could recommend special food for your cat

  11. De Ja  vu. You just posted the same thing again. Can you tell me why you are worried? Can you post a link to a picture? is she losing weight?  How much is she eating? What is she eating?

Telling us she is 7 1/2 pounds means nothing. I have cat that is 8 pounds and has been that weight for the last 14 years and at 15 she is healthy and an athlete

For the diarrhea get some acidoupolous from a health food store and sprinkle it in the food

  12. hi

  13. maybe you need to cut EVERYTHING out of your cats diet and feed her special food. the reason she always has diarrhea is because she is not getting the nutrients she needs.

  14. my dog does that

she even eats grass n then throws it up

    its like they're  anorexic

  15. She obviously has worms (or another parasite), that are eating off of her. Take her to the vet, they will prescribe some medicine for her to take to kill the worms. In the mean time, try feeding her soft food in case she is having tummy trouble (constipation, dormant bowels, etc.)

    Hope I helped :D

  16. hey, MY cat had the exact same thing, i took him to the vet and turns out that he had THYROID. apparent  A LOT of cats have this, so you should definately go get him checked. TRUST ME THIS HAPPENED TO MY CAT!

  17. she just doesnt gain weight! some people even do that! its normal for some cats!

    dont worry about it!
