She is about 5 years old. She is very skinny and doesn't gain weight. You can feel all of her bones but you can't see them because she has so much fur. This morning she woke up and seems to have limited energy and can't walk as well as she used to. She can't even jump on the futon. which is not very high. I am taking her to the vet on Saturday, but i need to know if i should get any kind of worm medication from the store. Because i have asked this question twice and people keep saying she has worms. I'm not sure though. Are there any vets online that can answer this question?

  1. She either has cancer or worms. Get her some medication for worms. It won't hurt her if she doesn't have worms. But it will definitely help if she does. Have a look at her droppings and see if you see any white spots in it. This usually means worms.

  2. My cat is the same, i worm her every 6 months, she eats wet food about 4 times a day and is skinny as a rake. The vet says theres nothing wrong with her, thats just her build. She's like those girls that are naturally skinny. Take her to the vet just to be sure, but i wouldn't worry too much.
