  1. My cat does this still, she is just over a year now. She wants lots of play time at night time lol!

What i have done is left a blanket on my bed during the day and she sleeps on that so at night time when she comes in i get the blanked put it at the end of my bed and she sleeps there now!

I will warn you it took me a while to get this to happen but now its fine =) good luck

    xx

  2. omg my cat totally does that too. She come and sits right on my chest with her whiskers all up in my nose.. ug. And then ill try and get her off and she just climbs back over or starts trying to attack my feet if I move under the covers. Then when I sleep with my boyfriend she comes and lays right inbetween us even if there is no room for her shell squeeze right in. And my bedroom doesn't have a door so i can't lock her out. So i bought a squirt bottle and every time she gets up on the bed I mist her. Hopefully shell learn soon that my bed is not for her. And if im working on my laptop shell come sit right on top of it. lol cats are funny creatures.

  3. obviously a female kitten.

now you girls know how your boyfriends feel !

  4. their showing dominance. shut bedroom door and sleep

  5. Shut her out.  Yes, she'll call and scratch to get in but if you ignore her she'll eventually get the message and give up.  You're not being cruel, you're laying down some house rules.

  6. Our cats have a tendency to do that too, usually waking us for breakfast at 4 or 5am even on a Sunday. We solved the problem by putting their beds in the kitchen with everything else they need (litter tray, toys, water) and theyre fine. that way they have to wait until were up and ready to see to them!!

  7. yeah my cat is the same. she only sleeps with me not my partner. just try n keep her out of the bedroom she will get the hang of it not being with you.

  8. Cats are nocturnal and generally sleep through the day.My cats would e running about in the night,so I have to throw them out. Maybe when you can,try putting your cat out,Not all cats are the same though.

  9. Oh for Heaven's sake !!!

Just love her and be grateful she loves you so much.  She will mature later - and you can sleep then.

When she has gone to the Rainbow Bridge, you will remember these days and wish for their return.

  10. My cat Charmin does the same thing. I think its there way of staying warm and cozy with someone they love!

As for comfort I've learned to sleep on my belly so she can have my back. It's actually quite comfortable.

If your against it just shut her out. She'll figure it out after a few nights scratching at the door.

  11. If you keep opening the door for her she'll keep doing it.But after a couple of days with the door closed she'll go about her businesss and find someone else to agitate.

  12. OMG i know exactly how you feel. My two kittens have been a total nightmare for it. The other day they kept me up til 9 am!! They meow outside the bedroom door and if we don't let them in they start pulling at the carpet!!

I put the same question on here and the answers i got were along the lines of ignore them and they'll learn that's sleep time and they're not allowed in.

So we put some heavy stuff where they scratch the carpet so they can't pull it up, let them in the room for 10 mins before bed so they can see we're in bed, then put them out in the hallway/kitchen where they sleep with some hidden treats to hunt for and keep them occupied. Then unfortunately its a case of ear plugs or just ignoring them.

We feed them and let them in the bedroom around 7 and they curl up with us for a bit so now they know the bedroom is for sleeping.

Hope you get your problem sorted soon. Sorry for the long answer.

    Good luck. x

  13. Try shutting the door at night and placing a ScatMat outside the door.  It delivers a very slight electric charge (feels like static electricity).  She'll try to walk on it once or twice and then will stop scratching.  Worked for me!  Just be careful to step over the mat when you go to the bathroom at night.

  14. My cat does the same, curling her body around my neck and head, purring in my earhole etc... She is 15yrs old and no-matter how hard i have tried to stop it.. nothing has worked. Luckily its mainly in the winter when i assume shes cold. I've just learnt to accept it, and i suppose i have got used to it now...allbeit frustrating!!  I also feel that she must really trust and want to be with me as her security blanket.
