  1. You want it to heal from the inside out... if you put anything on it to make it heal faster then you might make it absess again.

You can make a salt water bath and swab the area with that.

DO NOT USE NEOSPORIN... it contains thing other than petroleum jelly that can harm the cat... because they l**k it off!

  2. If the cat is not on antibiotics, then it would help the cat to be on them, also try and keep the area clean as it oozes out. Use warm compresses on it if she will let you do that.

  3. My cat is still being treated for abcess he got when a big animal got him.   He has been on antibiotic (CindaCure) for 2 months now and has had it lanced open to drain 2 times.  It starts to heal and then spreads to another area.

Anyway,  try Peroxide on it ........ but don't wait too long to have him seen by a vet !

  4. If your cat has an abscess you need to get it to a vet for medical treatment and to get antibiotics. With out treatment your cat could die from sepsis ( a systemic blood infection, almost always fatal without treatment!)
