I have had this one cat for about 8 years his name is Oreo and hes a full grown male cat. Oreo attacks anything that crawls on four legs, it seems. Not playfully but viciously. I have recently found this little cat and not sure what to do cuz like normally they just don't get along. They are both kept inside and outside, and can go in and out when they please. I have tried to introduce them to one another and that didn't go as well as I had planned. Oreo has chased this poor cat up a tree and faught with him about four times. How can I try and fix this problem? Im open to any suggestions. I just really cant stand the thought of giving up this new cat.

  1. well i have a lot of dogs and at first my male dog attacked nything that looked at him so 2 get him 2 get along with the others we put them on different sides of a gate and let them get to know each other from a distance first after a while they get used 2 each other and give up the fight

  2. How did you do the introductions?  How long did you keep them separated before introducing them?  Have they been neutered?

I understand that they are used to going outside.  I would keep the new cat separate and only let him be around Oreo when you are there to keep an eye on things.

Don't worry about giving up the new cat yet, you might just need to take the introductions more slowly and limit where the new cat can go for a while.

  3. im sorry to say that you might have to. i have three cats, 2 males and one female. the 2 males chase the female alot. she just runs and hides or attacks them back. if your cats are 2 males, you might just have a big problem and will have to get rid of the new cat. the old cat is just to used to being my himself. if whenever you put them together they fight. well....

you could also just let them fight and get it out of there systems. thats what i did and they still fight, just not has bad, or maybe you think is vicious and its not has bad as all that.

  4. If you don't give up the new one it'll be soo much harder later, i mean i think you probably love Oreo much better, keeping the new one will hurt his feeling. Since they don't get along think of it as siblings, of course humans that are pretty far apart get jealous but end up loving each other somehow but your cats probably will never.  And if you love the new one you have to give it away i mean it's being hurt by the bigger one, you can find a beautiful and warm home it'll forget about you but make sure this family will keep it forever.

  5. get the dog wisp....errs....cat whisper.

  6. Cats are very territorial, so leave them both alone to make peace with each other.  Don't force it.  The cats don't understand what you're trying to do.  Just let them figure it all out for themselves.  Cats are better at this than we are.
