Question:

My cats dont like each other anymore!?

My cats are sisters and have always lived together. They used to wash each other and sleep together and play together. They're around 15 months old and started to go outside in about April. My boyfriend went away in late june and whilst he was gone they started to hate each other, always hissing and fighting. I thought it might be because they had to share my affection, but after he came back they kept fighting.. what can I do?

  1. There isn't much you can do. My one cat does not like my other and I've had them for over four years.

  2. My girls are exactly the same! Theyre just over 2 and have recently started fighting and hissing all the time. I just leave them to it lol xx

  3. Throw 1 waya lolz

  4. [=hi=] It could be that they have become more apart and more territorial this can lead to fighting.

You could try to stroke 1 and then the other so they get more used to each others smells.

Female cats tend to be more territorial which may not help.

    Hope my answer helped=]

  5. You might try separating them for a bit and gradually increase the time they spend together.

If they are quite aggressive, these articles might help:

    good luck!

  6. Cats don't need the company of another cat in general and they are quite happy on their own. In this case its possible that they feel they are competing for same food or same sleeping place, or your affection. Make sure that they each have a comfortable place of their own to sleep . Perhaps one of them is a 'quieter' type and the other one is harassing her.
