My cats hate me!!!!!!?

my cat had kittens about 2-3 months ago. but they werent growing up with me. i went to boston and my dad was taking care of them. but now they dont like me. each time i get close to them they start like panicing and run away. what should i do!

Indeed, they don't hate you.  Give it time, talk to them and don't make advances towards them just yet (hard as that is to do).  Try to let them see you putting food out for them.  People who don't like cats many times lament they can't get cats to leave them alone.  They ignore the cats and turn away hoping the cats will just leave them alone.  Many times it gets the opposite effect.  Try that a few times and see what happens.  I'm sure you'll win them over - eventually.

It's not that they don't like you -- it's that they're nervous about you.  They don't know that you're safe to be around.  They see you as a giant stranger and that's pretty scary for them.  So you need to just stay back and let them decide when it's safe for them to approach you.  Maybe you can offer them treats (from a distance) and let them decide if they want to come to you.  If they do approach, don't make any sudden moves towards them.  Just talk softly and pet them.  Eventually, they'll learn that you're OK and they won't have any problems getting near you.

When you approach them, maybe squat or sit down so you don't seem so big and scary, and offer them treats and just be very calm and gentle. They don't hate you they probably are just nervous around you.
