My cd burner does not

Question

my cd burner does not recognize blank cd's. It does recognize music cd's, cd's like Turbotax and dvd's. This burner is ~2 yrs old and has worked successfully in the past. I've tried 2 brands of blank cd's with the same result.can you help?Jack
