Question:

My cd player has been working fine for 5 months?

but i havent had 6 x 9s on in the other day i tried hooking up 6 x 9s in i have a system in two door speakers in they worked since i got the cd player brand new then my 6 x 9 wires rubbed together and made a buzzing sound out of the subwoofers now none of the speakers work or the amp doesnt even turn on but my cd player works fine wat could this be its a pioneer deh-4900ib does it have a protection mode or anything like that

  1. the wires are still touching somewhere

    rewire the speaker wires - make fresh speakers connections

    check the ground and remote turn wire on of the amplifier .

    touching of two wires cause a short circuit which may had brought trouble in your head unit or the amp.

    get it checked ASAP or you will damage more things.

    head unit is runing doesn't mean it has not damaged anything except the cd mechanism..the rca outs transistors or the built in amp may be damaged.

    reset the head unit (read user manual) and then try !
