  1. If it does work it will eventally get corroded.

This has happeded to me and now lost #'s due to that.

  2. your phone will never work again..never ever..never...it will never make it..never ever..dont you see you can make it????   lol  i dont know..i dont know if you heard about this new thing that can protect your phone from liquids..its some new coating thats practically invisible and protects your phone from any kind of liquid..except acid and lava...lol.  but check it out on yahoo...http://tech.yahoo.com/blogs/yoon/78;_ylt...

  3. I agree with Neil.

If you soaked the insides with pool water, then flushing with distilled water is the only way to get the conductive mineral deposits out before they dry and crystallize into conductive paths inside your phone.  (Distilled water is pure and has no minerals in it.)

Whatever you do, keep the battery out (as well as the SIM card) and DO NOT TURN IT ON until you are sure it is dry!

I'd give it a week or so, standing on its various edges so the water can run off any circuit boards  - unless you can get it open safely - then it will dry a lot quicker.

    good luck!

  4. i think the chances are slim, it does depend. i dropped my mp3 in the pool for about 4 seconds (on accident) and it never worked again. i dried it and cried and nthing worked. :(

    good luck.

p.s my dad still dont know a year later, im dead wen he finds out

  5. try putting phone in bucket of dessicant (that stuff they put in pakages to remove moisture) to get every last bit of moisture out especially on the keys/screen

  6. I once washed my husbands laundry in warm water with laundry detergent for apprx. 40 minutes, not knowing that his cell phone was inside a jacket that was being washed.  Once dried (on its own, I didn't dry it myself) his cell phone worked like new.  The screen took a while to look normal but it did. (This was long ago, before phones had cameras).

Give it a day or two. You might be surprise that nothing happened.

  7. Open your cellphone and let your phone and battery dry under fan.

It will start since I also dropped my phone in water tub and took it out after 2 minutes........

    It will work...

  8. I hope you had the insurance plan.

The screen may be gone. And still be able to call out.

Who knows for sure. But my friend dropped hers in a puddle and it went wacko and had no screen at all.

She let hers dry like they told her 24 hours with out and movement and battery out.

  9. Maybe.

It's inside, not outside, that needs to be dry.

But first, you want to get the conductive, corrosive, and hydroscopic  ions (mostly Na+ and Cl-) out. Open everything openable and turn the phone over every which way, shaking it to help drain as much pool water as possible. Then flush thoroughly with tap (or preferably distilled) water and repeat the turn and shake routine.

Then on to drying. You want airflow, warmth, and time. We're likely talking about several days, during which time you want to turn it repeatedly.

  10. Pull the sim card also. Don's use a hair dryer, or any other heat source to dry. Don't try to turn it on. Leave it open, and in a warm dry area to dry for a day or two. Don't be in a hurry. Reassemble, and I would bet it will work just fine.
