My cell phone fell into my hot tub?

i took it out as soon as it went into the water, but it was completely submerged. i tried blow-drying it, but it didn't work, and it won't turn on. is there any hope of me being able to still use it?

  1. yes, take the battery out of the phone and leave it out in the sun. take the battery and put it in a bowl of rice it will obsorb the mositure after twentyfour hours or so try it again

  3. Probably not, especially if it was turned on when it fell in.

    If you take it back to the store or provider that you got it from, they can tell it's been submerged in water because there is a device inside that changes if it became wet.  This would void the phone's warranty, unless you had an extended warranty covered that accidents like that.  Either way, you may have to bite the bullet and get a new phone.  They may or not be able to retrieve your saved data (contacts, schedule, etc.) from your old phone.

  4. Remove the battery and bury your open cell phone in dry white rice in an airtight plastic container.  Make sure the  phone is completely covered and leave for at least 24 hours.

    My husband's cell phone ran through an entire cycle in the washing machine and this was a miracle trick - the only residual effect was a small bubble in the screen.
