My chain from my ceiling fan broke off!!!!

does anyone know how to repair the pull chain that turns on my ceiling fan light..it broke off completely from the socket insert

If you turn off the breaker supplying power to the fan and remove the light assembly you will find the switch inside unscrew the outside bezel (where the chain goes in)  remove the wires that are attached to the fan and notate where each colored wire connects.  Your local ace hardware, lowes, or HD will carry replacement switches.  Bring the old switch with you to be sure you buy the correct one.  Please please be careful around electricity and make sure the breaker not just the switch is turned off.  Good luck.

Depends.  If there's still some chain hanging out of it, then take one of those little connector thingies and put the chain back together.  If not, unscrew the little cap that the chain disappears into and repair it that way.

uh oh... thats not good.

um... get a new fan light??

or... try to like fix the chain or reconnect it somehow.

my friend broke it once and she fixed it.
